I think I failed the S.A.F.E Test

So Im level 36 and just started entered covenant. I have Curie as a companion with me. She say she wants to go in, but then disliked me when I did. as soon as I go near the workshop everyone except Curie and Dan go hostile. Not sure what I did. Maybe its becuase of my railroad paint?
I dont know but its a weird glitch. Not sure if its because I somehow failed the safe test,

Nevermind. Apparently power armor triggers them. They go hostile if you wear it and try talking to them. I guess they thing your a synth. hope this post save you guys some time.

You can't fail the test. As for power armor, there is a bug with some sort of targeting thing you can put on power armor. It turns others hostile.

I didnt have the targeting mod on my power armor, I had the database on it.

One time I was taking it, we got attacked, must be blood bugs. Then the door was open and I walked in and got attacked. Need to complete the safe test before you wander in.

What do you mean they go 'hostile'?

Covenant is on the "verge of hostility" to you until after you talk to them a few times. But they don't attack unless you attack them. Any 'targeting' gear will show them as hostile, but they are not actually hostile yet.

When I say hostile I mean they try and kill me when I try and talk to someone. But like I said before they hate power armor apparently. It is not the targeting mod. I had the intelligence mod for my helmet. They werent hostile when I left my power armor at base. Maybe they think the power armor makes me a synth.
