POLL: Should Goodneighbor have (had) a doctor?
(just kidding, I don't think we can do polls)

It's very odd that Dr Amari doesn't provide medical services. All other major settlements and faction HQs have a doctor or at least a medical post (The Castle). Nobody else in Goodneighbor provides medical services either.

Does she provide medical services if you ally to Goodneighbor and/or the Railroad? I don't think so.

I get that she's a scientist and maybe not a medical doctor. But neither are most (any?) of the other so-called doctors in the Commonwealth. And apparently any settler can dispense healing, rad treatment, disease cures and addiction cures if you buy them a big wooden box with a sign. (And Dr Amari is a very hands-on scientist, actually working with patients herself on serious medical procedures.)

So, poll: was this an oversight? Is it a bug? Or was it a deliberate game design decision. Either way, should there be a medical services provider in Goodneighbor? Or not.

Can they be brought back to life by a glowing one if they haven't lost a limb??!

I was more thinking of live nonferal ones. I was also thinking that Bethany or other ghoul doctor would add other complementary techniques and methods on top of just the raw radiation.

From her text file, Amari is a physician and a surgeon, not just a (very) applied neuroscientist. It seems antisocial for her not to offer medical services.

From a game point of view, unlike other doctors (except maybe the faction doctors) they would have to track her current affinity with you to see if she would be willing to treat you or barter with you, which would have been a hassle.

Yes, unless something has changed more recently, the burst of radiation that glowing ones emit can cause downed ferals near them to get back up, provided they haven't lost any limbs.

I had a very memorable experience with that early-on in the sinkhole, where I found out my slow and careful sniping up a corridor was made pointless by a glowing one just out of sight repeatedly reviving my targets. Since backed up by frequent other cases of revival.

It also happens in a scripted scene with Oswald the Outrageous. As usual, there you can prevent the revival by damaging the corpses before he shows off his "magic".
