Installing any character mods causes the "brown face" issue

Yeah, title, basically. It's also important to note that I do not have the HD texture pack installed. How do I fix this? I've never ran across this issue until the recent update.

alright, here's my mods. These are the only mods I have right now..

Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-
deLuxe Mask (it's a makeup mod)
Emissary of Wind Lashes (it's an eyebrow & lashes mod)
Female Neck Tweaks
High Res DLC Black Face Fix
Looks Menu
Oni asian face parts
Real HD Faces Textures
WX Hair Colors

disable 1 at a time and check. i would start with hair,makeup mods

What's likely the cause is ether Calientes, Neck tweaks, Or looks menu. I personally got it alot after downloading Looksmenu or a tattoo mod.


One work around for it if you don't want to uninstall anything, Is to download the Cheat Menu, And then in the menu there is an option to customize your character anywheres you want. Go into the customization menu, Change the skin color of your character, then change it back, The issue will be temporarily fixed until it happens again.


If it's happening ALL the time then yeah, You're gonna have to uninstall something.

fixed it by uninstalling Real HD Faces

for the future ppl searching for a solution: the brown face bug is caused by improper face texture resolution. Vanilla face texture ressolution is 1k diffuse, 1k normal, 512 specular. mods who have a higher resolution like real hd faces or 2k face texture will cause the brown face bug bc the resolutions dont match anymore. so u have just 2 possible actions: use the HD DLC (and/or get the High Res DLC Black Face Fix) or dont install any face texture having a higher resolution than vanilla. same goes for makup and tattoo mods
