i think i maded some progress and installed all my mods that i could find both early (well early for me) this morning and this morning to right now following some advice on discord from mod authors and such and i followed their advice and am still having an issue with fallout crashing seconds after start up even though the mods are disabled and oly installed vis NMM please help and i am no tech wiz so i need lamens terms i have been wanting to play since last thursday and cant seem to get the game going at all ever for some reason like i said all mods off strctly vanilla and still crashes to desktop please help and thank you in advance

Silent, did you start from a fresh install? Also, did everything start up and run before you started adding mods through NMM?

What are your system specs again ... that's starting to sound like you don't meet minimum requirements, not mod issues. Do you have 8 gig of ram and a 2 gig video board? especially the 2 gig video baord ... that's literally a game breaker for FO4

edit which is strange comsidering the number of hours you have in game ... has anything changed? system updates, new software installed? anything outside of the game?

OP, you couldn't have possibly have done a clean install of the game, played until you left vault 111, installed mods one at a time, checked that each was working before installing another one, in this short amount of time And have that many mods back in your load order. Wheew, what a run on sentence.

Not ot mention dissabling all of those in broken NMM is a virtual guarantee of crap left in the data folder that NMM didn't uninstall correctly. broken links abound ... BTW did you upgrade NMM to version 63.17? if not you can't use it for FO4 or SSE

Mmm!! I am using NMM 64.3 for SSE also for Fallout if I need to.(MO2 for that game)

Damn, I'm even out of the loop on that dead POS ... I haven't seen an update since SKSE and ESL support was added LOL ... yeah you want 64.3 if you're going to use NMM at all.

You're not becoming an issue SP ... but those people trying to help you need to know you're actually following suggestions or why bother, you know... We want you wo have a working game, but you need to knock it back to vanilla and test it, as in make sure it's working, and post to that affect. Then we'll work with you to figure out the mod list, but first things first ... working game with no mods.

BTW you don't need to start a new thread every time you update a file. Just keep using this one or everyone will get lost, and stop caring.

thanks for the advice i just need to step back for a bit i just did a fresh install and am trying to find out how to post specs cause like ive been saying im not good with a computer as a friend once said and what she was true im trivial pursuit smart not monoply smart and when it comes to tech well then im like a naked baby in the woods at midnight on a full blood moon

oh btw avrie just updated NMM via github link so willl work on that as soon as soon as i get out of the vault and to main platform for the vault entrance

Here is a tip also. Make a save just before you step onto the platform in the vault. Then anytime you want to start a new play through or a new charector you can skip the prewar stuff and running through the vault.

it autosaved just before (or possibly after) the pip boy so no worries there also i just got out of the vault on afresh vanilla save and no crashes on start up so im making a little bit of head room so yay for that
