Why are we not allowed to build...
Why can't we build an all faiths chaple in our settlements? We can make mutilated bags of body parts and other really violent things... but we can't build a church? a temple? a prayer Center? Why?

I've wondered that too to be honest.

Hey I just want some windows, with and without some glass in, other than just warehouses :p (I know there are mods, but it seems such a silly thing to miss out on any of the actual official buildings sets and dlc)

There is a load of things we cannot build really, plus you can have a church in any building really. Build a barn with a nice point roof at one end and put rows of benchs in etc.

Maybe this will help. I built a chapel using three mods and the Warehouse section of Structures. 1) The Better Stores Mod has a neon sign section that contains a cross-I also use it on all the clinics and hospitals I build. 2)The DFEP mod has pews in the seating selection which your character, follower, and NPCs will sit on and pray. 3) Lowpoly's Furniture Pack-a personal favorite-has Institute furniture within it. Go into that, pull up the containers and use the Office Cabinet as a podium. You'll find books and plates as props for the cabinet top. For the building itself I've found the glass walls and roofs in the Warehouse section lend an open feel. For roof supports you could try the posts in the Warehouse Misc gallery.

Just some thoughts on how you could create your own. Hours have been spent building and rebuilding until I'm satisfied. On the other hand, structures are thrown together in minutes given the playthrough I'm in at the time. Artistic license or laziness:steamhappy::steamhappy:.

you can build torturing devices and have your followers be tortured... you can use your followers for cruel experiments with vault 88.... but again.... you can't just have a small something, where people can pray, meditate, and find peace?

unbelievable..... and sad..

I'm sure you could cobble together something resembling a church if you really tried, even in vanilla Fallout 4.

I dunno, old-world religion seems to play a pretty small part in Fallout. You have the LDS church but that's way, way to the west of Boston.

I can't tell if you're trolling. Somehow I kind of wish you are.

Faith in a higher power... will never die, because killing an idea is impossible.

Its not really much of a chapel, its basically a hut which is being used a chapel. So just do the same thing, build a hut and just use it as a chapel then.

Yeah, that's the question. Why can't you make one? You've got all the tools you need to build a chapel, unless you're looking to recreate the Notre Dame. You could probably do that with mods, though.

Be creative.

I believe he meant something small enough to fit somewhere in the settlement, and have someone be a pastor. Not all the settlements have room enough for a cathedral, and All Faiths has an interior area. Believe it or not, I agree with him: We can make super mutant bags of gore, and raider items, but, we don't have anything the has religious sort of connections to it in our settlement stuff. Sure, you can make a building, but I'd personally like functionality. Sort of why I'm using Crime and Punishment because it adds functionality to the chapel through an atonement mechanic worked into it's karma system.

Be that as it may... not everyone agree's with you and me... and alot of people need faith in their lives to function.. So let them.... why you gotta tire people down? Why can't you just live and let live?
