Fallout 4 colored squares showing on screen
So, I have been playing Fallout 4 for the past couple weeks on my Alienware 13 r3 laptop and I have had nothing but problems trying to play. Aside from frequent crashes... the most annoying thing is that I regularly see colored squares littering my screen. So far I've noticed it only happens when my character is located in rooms with artificial lighting like lamps or lightbulbs. I have tried lowering my graphics settings to the minimum on everything but the problem persists or even gets worse. I bought my laptop less than 2 weeks ago.. it has GeForce gtx 1060, 16 GB RAM, and i7 7700HQ.. I have no idea what is causing the problem.. Any ideas?

This is what it looks like.

your laptop cant maintain the power level it needs so it's throttling back , causing the graphics errors ,
keep it plugged in , adjust your power settings so it runs max
probably getting all crazy hot too

Is the nVidea card only enabled, integrated on-board video disabled? Drivers up to date? Can you post your Steam/Help/System Info here?

I wasn't aware there's a way to disable the integrated graphic driver. I have my NVidia driver set to default however. My drivers should all be up to date.. I've run the updates recently.

Hello there. I'm fully aware that this discussion took place months ago, but I've stumbled across the same issue myself in my own game, though it's on Xbox One instead, and sadly this is the only coverage I've been able to find on this issue. I've tried everything from reinstalling the game, hard resetting my Xbox numerous times, and disabling all mods. Unfortunately it happens in my vanilla game as well, so I really have no idea how to fix this. I can post my mod list and pictures of the glitch if that'll help anyone solve the issue. It only occurs indoors, and no amount of texture mods seem to help.
