How do I turn off the damn flashlight folks?

Was fighting some flies and it turned on by itself or I pressed something.

I need to turn it off.

Same key opens Pip Boy and toggles flashlight on/off.

forgot to mention i was using a controller. Holding the round button long turns on and of the lamp.
