Ok, I give up LoL
During Molecular Relay part of the story, Maxson haas asssigned me to persiade Li to come baack to the BoS. However, I don't want Li to come back for two reason, 1) I adbolutely hate her and 2) I want to try a different outcome. I tried every which way to fail persuasion checks with the Dr. ♥♥♥♥♥y Li to try the outcome with another doctor from Diamond City but she just won't have any of it. I even put the game on survival mode to see if persuasion gets any more difficult.

Is the only way to get Li out of the way is to kill her?

one way or another, let dr. li to join BoS, then bomb the f outta them after blind betrayal

I am not against BoS, I am siding with them, always do because genocide of human race is not an option for me. Dr Li is not necessary for LP completion. There is another Doctor in Diamond City as the alternative. However, I can't fail persoation attempts, and I was wondering ifd killing her is the only way to undertake the alternative route of the story.

I wanted to know this too because I wanted to join the Institute via the BoS but ALSO wanted Li to stay. The only way to do that is to become hostile to the Institute, wherein the BoS will send you out to find someone else who can do the job.

Well, the official guide says that if you fail the persuasion checks, the alternative route will get triggered. Kinda weird that my charisma is not as high as I usually have it at this point in the story, and is not even that high yet I can't fail red speech check. What is this dark magic!?!?!!?
I did trigger it, but I, alas (no, I'm not really sorry), had to kill her, and now I'm being yelled at by Maxson who, frankly, is rather scary when pissed off. *nervous chuckle*
Still luv him and Danse though.
I am rather curious what he would say if I simply failed to persuade Li to come back not to mention I really don't like to be yelled at, especially by my Elder :D

Anyways, while I killed her this time around, I was wondering if this course of actions was the only way to get Professor Scara alternative route going or maybe there was another option after failing at failing speech checks?

If you tell Shawn you are not going to side with him, I think it starts the Banished quest, then you just teleport back out to complete. This should start the secondary quest to get the Prof from DC instead of Li. Everything else stays the same iirc. I have never done the secondary option though, since you can just Get the data from the FEV research area to convince Li to come with you.

Either way, you have to complete Banished from the Institute so there is no way you are allowed back in there to start that secondary quest. There are numerous ways, like killing people and such, but if you tell Shawn you won't help them I'm pretty sure it starts.

Seriously. If the Various Plagues, Social Upheavals and an Atomic War didn't wipe out the Human Race, Nothing will. I love the arrogance of any faction (in this game or any other) that believes only they can keep the Human Race Alive.

Trust me. The Human Race in any of its forms is going to be fine.

That matches my understanding of it. If you fail the speech check, you can persuade her with the data. Scara is the backup if you get thrown out of the Institute and can no longer access Dr Li.

Huh, I might try it out just to see the different dialogue from Maxson. If this works, I will keep it in mind for next playthrough (because doing it 7 times is not enough LoL)
I really don't mind killing Li because she is a real ♥♥♥♥♥, and after hearing snarky comment from Father during "Banished From the Institute".

And that was the solution I was looking for since I am pretty sick and tired doing "Liberty Reprimed" with Li, and I was failing at deliberate failing persuasion checks to get Li from my back.

If you ask Dr Lee what it takes to convince her and she asks to provide evidence Vergil is alive and just flat out say no that'll work
