Fort Hagen nightmare.

I've searched all over the web but cannot find the problem I'm having. I'm on the Reunions quest and I follow dogmeat to Fort Hagen and when I get inside I cannot get into the room with the elevator because the 2 holes in the wall are missing. I just have a solid nice looking wall in the room where the turret is to the right. I've played the game before and know where the hole is supposed to be and I verified the location in online walkthroughs. I have uninstalled mods and gone in with different NPC's but it's always the same. Help.

If it truly is a glitch, just open console commands and type tcl to turn clipping off, then just type tcl again to turn it back on.

That sounds like a mod that altered the worldspace and did not get completely removed. The tcl command will work. I am curious what mod you had that altered Fort Hagen.

i have a long series of saved games with one character sitting on hold because i have this same problem.
and it's a character that i went and did a lot of other things with before i started that chain of events.
one thing i am thinking of is that there may be something wrong in the sequence of events that led up to where i am.
if i knew what that out of sequence thing was i could go back and redo it, but then again i have done so many other things that i may have skipped over something entirely.
i have the unlimited companion mod so i am running with strong, nick, piper, cait, codsworth and heather all at the same time.
with that mob following me i never get any xp from kills.
codsworth in battle construction with two gattling lasers and nick with another gattling laser are all bad shots, but they are fun to watch.

so yea i don't know what went wrong, but as you can see i'm not exactly playing by the rules either.

i have started a new runthrough and will be playing it straight [well STRAIGHTER] and will go through the main story and go for kellog sooner this time.
i'll see if there is any clue how i can fix my other long, long runthrough that i really don't want to abandon.
and even with all i've done to the game with mods, i don't want to use console commands to acheive the goals for the quests.
