What's making my generators free?

So I started playing Fallout 4 again as I didn't give it a good enough chance when it first released because of my simulation sickness :(

I just got to the part where I can start building in settlements and I noticed that both the small generator and the larger one are both free. All other power items have costs and everything else i've used to build has had a cost so far, it just seems limited to the 2 vanilla generators.

Can anyone see in this mod list a possible cause for this? The only mod I use that I think effects the building aspect of the game is Homemaker

have you tried disabling homemaker?
other than that, the only thing i could think of is to verify steam files because of possible corruption

I had that bug too
they're not actually free, they still use up resources and give you xp
or at least they do for me

I see this effect as well, and for me it applies to the Small, Medium, and Large generators.

The bug isn't that they have no cost in resources, but that they don't display the cost when you select the generator you want to build.

thanks for the comments guys, hopefully mine is the same then (that is, still uses resources) i want my mods to add to the game not cheat :P
