Is loot-locking a Legendary Gatling Laser at Gunners Plaza and Shaw High School even possible with DLC installed?
Ok so I've been trying to farm a legendary gatling laser at both locations because I know that the legendary enemies in both locations can drop a variety of items, but I've been trying over and over and I can never get a gatling laser to drop. I have Automatron, Nuka World, and Far Harbor all installed. Does having all these add-ons prevent items like gatling lasers from ever spawning at these locations?

What level are you? Gatling Lasers are incredibly rare.

I'm level 80 and I've never seen a gattling laser, it's all about that RNG.

But no, those DLCs aren't doing anything to your drop rates.

Or just kill the Rogue Knight.

Go through nuka world until you're running the place
When you get a quest about "the gauntlet" follow the map marker to the arcade, and start it
Sleep for a day or two in another location, and come back to Nuka Town to get the quest again
Rinse and repeat until you face off against a rogue brotherhood knight, which in the arena, will be a gatling laser with unlimited ammunition (basically)
Maxon's Final Judgement is still the best Laser Gatling though. (And by extension, any Rapid Laser Gatling)

Aeternius is only good on Survival, when your weight limits might influence how many fusion cores you can lug around.

Except its kind of buggy. It requires you to have, what, 3 fusion cores on you, and reloading ruins all the fusion cores.

Just get OCDeocrator. Place in used fusion cores get refreshed ones back. I know, I know it's not the purpose of the mod and what some might consider cheating but there you go.

I don't use mods. I don't need to re-use Fusion Cores anyway, i have something like 380.
Once, I found a legendary gatling laser on a gunner at Hub City Auto Wreckers. Maybe you should try another couple of times, because the legendary item generation is almost completely random.

DLCs, as far as I have seen, have only modified the legendary item pool, adding their guns and armor to the list, and not the generation algorithm itself.

I think they are because before I got my DLCs I used to get Gauss Rifles more often at Gunners Plaza and maybe a gatling laser from time to time. Now I am getting neither of these two weapons. only radium rifles and other DLC crap. Although dont get me wrong, the explosive radium rifle is a beast.

Harder the difficulty the more chance for better weapons.

The thing about the DLC is they introduce new Legendary loot, so the tables expand, thus reducing the chances of any individual item appearing.

Removing the DLC will increase your chances, but it isn't actually stopping you from getting Laser Gatlings.

I thought DLC weapons only dropped in the DLC areas though. I know some of the new legendary prefixes appear in the commonwealth but I've never seen a DLC weapon drop.
