I am not kidding a 5 YO could do it. Its drag and drop for crying out loud and you guys are pushing mod managers, its a freaking comedy.
1) Open Archive2.exe from the Creation kit tools section
2) Select open, open the problem mod Archive,
3) Extract from the esm., esp files: meshes/sounds/textures/scripts/etc into a folder by themselves.
4) Turn the folder into an Archive, separate from the esp.'s and esm.'s then manually add it to NMM.
I'll let you guys know if it works or not. in 1-3 days.
1. Visit the authors' mod pages and make sure you haven't missed anything like an UPDATE or PATCH, for example
2. While you're there, check out the comments and the bug reports and see if anyone else has the same issue
3. Use LOOT to optimize your load order. It can be that simple.
4. UNINSTALL your mods 1 or 2 at a time to see if the problem goes away. Notice I said uninstall. A simple disable doesn't work all the time.
5. OR IF YOU'VE REINSTALLED THE GAME, start with a vanilla game and then install your mods 1 or 2 at a time until the trouble comes back. Now you'll know what mod is doing it.
Good luck.
I get your point, but you don't have to be a douche about it. Just say it like you would in real life.
I think you're overthinking this. Try the simple sh$t first.
Thanks,
So far, I have been using Loot but it doesn't change my load order: ever. and there are no errors., I completely deleted ALL my mods, not just disabled them, and re-downloaded them from Nexus manually.
Oh shut up capt'n smart. Using NMM is a GUI, ya know something we've been using since the Amiga? Atari ST? Mac classic? FFS don't sound like such a smug douche. Yes, it's easy to drag and drop but NMM saves at least two steps per mod when downloading, in my case that's almost 50 mods. Also have fun locating all your files when you want to uninstall a mod to troubleshoot as this post points out! With NMM it's a simple case of easy categories you can set yourself if you want, click uninstall and done, while your genious self is busy hunting through a folder not sure the cryptic name of said mod. Also many mod authors BEG you to use the mod manager for install.
Long story short, shut the **** up dork.
You're right. It was a while ago but I would like to add to your answer.
- Follow newest updated procedures to completely remove Scrap Everything from the game.
* If that doesn't work then:
- Uninstall the game.
- Complete a Data Integrity Verify in the Steam menu.
+ Since I wanted a clean unmodded game, This is what I did.
* If this does not fix the issue it is most likely an update/mod conflict. It's also possible you;'ve installed it incorrectly. Check the nexus site & Google keywords for possible fixes. If none of thoes work, ask for assistance and then inform the mod author.
That was so helpful! Thank you! I didn't have purple textures but Dartmouth Professional Building's entire ground floor was covered in a 'white wall'. What I understand to be missing/unloaded textures. I could walk through them and from the inside-out, I could see everything fine. Come back out, and same 'white wall'.
For now, your advice seems to have fixed my problem. Thank you very much!
