Asbestos Lining wort it ion survival?
I haven't played this game that much, but I was wondering if the asbestos lining armor mod is wort it, as compared to other armos mods such as dense or padded. How much of an issue is being set on fire?

Yep... Total fire immunity is the only choice... Period...

Molotovs are deadly in survival...

So molotovs are generally more dangerous than explosives, as I understand you?

Molotovs give so little warning that dodging gets questionable, and for quite some time they are capable of killing you instantly. They tend to be more threatening than grenades, and certainly far more so than deathclawsand other melee enemies.

Unfortunately molotovs do explosive damage not fire damage, and asbestos itself only prevents you from being set on fire, an effect which provides only a tiny fraction of a molotovs damage (when it happens) and can usually be countered by stacking foods and stimpaks.

Your much better off sticking with padded and dense, even a postmans hat provides more protection against molotovs than asbestos!

Thank you, that helps a lot.

You can stack padded an dense to get 75% explosive damage reduction by putting padded on your chest and dense on a metal leg

Strange how I've taken Molotovs to the face, and suffered no damage, every time I use Asbestos linings...

Put on asbestos armour then drop one at your feet, its easily tested.
You can be caught in the explosion animation without taking damage if it hits something in front of you though, such as a wall.
