Go to sauges ironworks and defeat the raider boss in the final room, (collect the shishkebab as part of the finch farm quest) and on the catwalk behind where the boss was standing upon entering the room, you will find a picket fences magazine (and a bobble head) which will allow you to build statues in your settlements.
next step is easy - go to a settlement and build statues. keep doing it. then scrap them all. then build more. they grant exeptional exp compared to other settlememnt objects, and you should level up rather quick (especially at lower levels)
so make sure you have tonnes of copper and decent intelligence and try that
Thanks for the food tip, I completely forgot that they can increase xp.
However if you don't want to spend points on INT (which it sounds like you don't) get it elsewhere, I suggest chems.
Berry mentats (+5 INT) and X-Cell (+2 INT) will get you a +20% exp bonus all by themselves.
when I start a new game I always put luck to rank 5 so I can unlock it as the first perk.
High Intelligence and spamming fences is a good way to level up fast early. You can usually get to lvl 30 before stepping foot outside Sanctuary.
No, seriously, the "Well rested" bonus helps.
Even better is to max out affinity with a companion and flirt with them; the "lover's Embrace" XP bonus is even larger.
wtf? then why does the idiot saviant perk say low intel is needed for it to work better, I never knew having intel maxed out works better
