Also that perk is far from useless thanks to the bonus damage on suppressors, which is VERY good and stacks with all other bonus, so that title is outright wrong
Take your time to level both the Sandman and the Sneak perks up to max and you'll have more fun, while eventually being able to use some knives, swords or other sharp weapons for that special kill.

I just need to upgrade the stealth then.
That said some do not seem to understand how it is used based on their posts.
We do not use a weapon of our selection for it we simply sneak up on the sleeping enemy and select to use sandman kill when close enough to get the option it then plays a scene of us taking out the enemy usually showing a knife being used even if we do not have one.
If not using the option popup to use the perk it is just a stealth kill using our sneak ability and a weapon of our choice.
