Report a translation problem
Did you start a new game or from a modded save? Like the Vault 11 exitsave. Starting from a modded save where the mods already ran their changes wouldnt fix it.
Try this:
setally 1c21c 0 (friendly)
setally 1c21c 1 (ally)
Not sure if that will remove hostile or not, never tested it.

Err wait, did you put the 79305 first or click on Cait first? I assumed you knew how to used the console commands and I didnt have to tell you to click on her in console :P
So I was close then. I did not think adding to faction would work.
That bug I know. You basically got screwed because you have a NOTE or something in your inventory that has a quest for Hardwaretown.
If I remember right after getting the item from the note it frees up the Painting quest. You can evne bring him the cans ahead of time.
