Scrapping/Deleting objects outside settlements?
I'm planning to build some things outside the workshop area. Is there any way to scrap/delete objects that you normally can not?

I don't know that that will work, and I certainly don't know if it's worth the hassle if it does - it depends a lot on the strengths of your particular rig.

Huh? Without a mod for that purpose, you cannot "build some things outside the workshop area". And, again without some sort of a mod, no you can't scrap things outside of the workshop.

You can build outside the (normal) workshop area by spawning one, but it won't function as a settlement
Mods are okay, if you know any that would allow me to do that. I have Scrap Everything installed but it won't allow me to scrap/delete objects outside the settlement.

Tried it and it works. I'll try to avoid any cells that might cause lag, allthough hopefully my PC will be able to make it. Thanks.

Well some objects you can use the console for.
disable
markfordelete

The best way depends on exactly what you want do. However you will need several mods to handle the issues that you can run into. The first step is deciding if you want make the location a settlement or not.

Scrap Everything can be used for a lot of objects but not everything. If so, console commands disable/markfordelete are needed. Note that SE doesn't delete objects, it just hides them.

I prefer the disable/markfordelete method. As I mainly replace existing buildings with an identical one that is open to the world, I disable precombines. This facilitates swapping single-sided parts with double-sided ones fro mods etc. Once you disable precombines you can't go back as doing so might unhide SE's scrapped objects, and in a screwed-up manner.

Either scrap method may break previs, causing graphics glitches. A previs replacement mod will be required if this happens. Or a previs complete deletion mod.

If doing interiors a RoomBounds removal mod might be needed.

In order to make an area buildable/scrappable I drop a mobile workbench at the site. There are a couple of options here.
