Ghost Files ???
I have a situation with Caliente’s. I have not been able to find anyone that can offer any help in resolving it. Because of Bethesda’s blunders I have had to scrap my entire game and start from scratch. After 3800 hours of play time on Fallout 4 PC. I have had this issue with Caliente’s before. After re-installing the game and deleting all of files on my computer you would think this is good to go. Upon starting to reinstall the mods I come to Caliente’s. When I open up Caliente’s there are all of the body presets and slider files that I had on the old set up. How can this happen when everything was deleted from the computer and a new download from Steam? Are these files coming from the Steam cloud? Consequentially BodySlide and Outfit Studio are acting really strange and stupid. Can anyone Help!

There is likely a preferences file located somewhere. You should try to approach the mod author if you want to know where to look.

Did you made a clean uninstall and deleted the game folder as well? Uninstalling game does not uninstall mod files that might still be included to subfolders. These might be files coming from BodySlide BatchBuild.

I completely uninstalled the game from Steam. I deleted all of the game folders from my computer and re-installed Nexus Mod Manager.

That's interesting. I have been using CBBE (or UUNP) and BodySlide for years. I really can't figure out right now why you would have files there.

Steam cloud shouldn't store any of such files. Only save files.

Now you know how I feel. I have been using Caliente's mods from day one. I have over 4400 hours on Elders Scrolls V. and now Fallout 4. This issue just started for me this year. Ne computer, new download from Steam and new Nexus Mod Manager. What more can I do? There are all the files from BodySlide and Outfit Studio. Go Figure! HELP!

Well, well, well! I finally figured out the problem. Isn't the internet a wonderful place? This goes out to IIja especially. I un-installed everything again last night, the game and the manager. Re-installed and it still had files left over and then I found it. the answer. DO NOT DOWNLOAD NEXUS MOD MANAGER FROM NEXUS! How ironic is that? You would think that a company that offers a product would make sure it works first. Regardless if it is for free or if it costs a fortune. Nexus Mod Manager is a fabulous pies of work. I am sure everyone who uses it would definitely miss it. IIja and the others thanks for listening. The issue was not caused by me or my system but by Nexus. Download Nexus Mod Manager from GitHub. Here is the link. https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager. Happy Gaming to all!

Good to hear that you got it sorted out. I was very tired yesterday and didn't even come to think of NMM problems. I should have, seeing that I have been repeating that for months.

You are correct. NMM can install mod files in to wrong folder. This is a known problem. It is important to point out that Nexus Mod Manager has NOT been under official development for over 2 yeas and is NO LONGER officially supported by Nexus.

Nexus is now officially supporting Vortex.

Other tools - unsupported by Nexus, but which has a wide developer and tester team working with it - is Mod Organizer 2. which I am using to mod my own games.
