Question regarding Elder Maxon and his Power Armor

alright, so... i heard you can get a unique power armor set from this dude, but all i can come up wioth is... an end game quest... but, thing is, i'm not feeling up to siding with the institute fully, if at all. so here is my question...

Can i finish the game with the minutemen or railroad and take out the prydwen with them and still get maxon's unique power armor?

If not, then can i get through the institute questline and not finish their nuclear quest, and go with the miniutemen at the last minute?

It's his coat, not PA. You have to kill Maxon to get it.

actually no. the unique to him power armor is real, it's got a special paint job (similar to all paints for the BoS, but his rank labeled on it) you can't get the suit's frame, but you can get the peices like the raider PA peices. thing is, i only see it available to get when killing in during the quest for the institute called "airship down"

Only did that mission once, makes sense he would wear PA during it guess I never really noticed. Wonder what the stats are on it. I so hated siding with the railroad, they made me kill all my friends and the kids.

well as far as i know, as the wiki's state, nothing changes from other BoS paints. just the ranking symbol cosmetic, nothing else.
