BoS Lore Friendly Cosmetic Mods
I am a die-hard fan of BoS faction in game, and for RP purposes (no BoS friendly towards Danse after Blind Betrayal stuff), I thought would be cool to have certain things of theirs re-vamped. I have so far only got military cap with BoS logo on it, and I am considering a pip boy skin. Any other other purely cosmetic mods to make BoS stuff look sexy, OR make some things BoS themed?

I also wanted to make Danse's tags wearable, but the mod from in-game menu is not working properly. Is Nexus one ok?
P.S. Needless to say, I am rather ticked off that I am Sentinel and I don;t have my own tags :( Bummer!

What would you guys recommend to get?

The ones mentioned by planewalker are pretty good.

I would get the midwestern brotherhood power armor.

Durable vertibirds so that they cant stop crashing everywhere.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2857/?

Ashurs tribal power armor. Its cool while idk if it still fits brotherhood of steel since he became the leader of the Pittraiders in fallout 3 after being l4d by the brotherhood.

If you dont want power armor, This is a good armor mod. Its good armor being basically on par with the far harbor marine combat armor but has lots of brotherhood custominzation even Outcast skins.

Brotherhood Power Armor Overhaul

This mod equips all Brotherhood Knights with ranked power armor and appropriate rank insignia:

Knight: T-45d
Knight-Sergeant: T-45d
Knight-Captain: T-51b
Knight-Commander: T-51d
Paladin: T-60d
Elder: X-01 mk. VI

The player will also unlock these new ranked paint jobs after finishing the following quests in the Brotherhood of Steel Questline:

Initiate Paint: Call to Arms
Knight Sergeant Paint: Show No Mercy
Knight Captain Paint: From Within
Knight Commander Paint: SPOILER ALERT Liberty Reprimed

The intention of this mod was to make the ranks of BoS soldiers more immediately visible, and to increase the variety of power armor found in the wasteland while simultaneously making the T-60 armor rarer and more special. Now when you first join the Brotherhood you are given a suit of T-45 and you are only given T-60 once you are made Paladin.

Some Assembly Required (Power Armor Overhaul)

What this mod does:

Manually disables almost every Power Armor spawn location from the base game and replaces them with boss trunks, chems, weapons, ammo, and explosives. Basically, where ever you used to find a set of Power Armor, you'll find a supply cache.

Alters the Main Quest "Out of Time" ever-so-slightly, so that the Power Armor on top of the Museum only has the torso piece, which is at 10% health.

Scatters Raider, T-45 and T-51 pieces all across the Commonwealth. Interiors, Exteriors, underwater, you name it! Encourages better looting and observation! Many areas where a full frame spawned now have one or two pieces of power armor. Military Bases, Bunkers and facilities relatively untouched since the Great War are good places to start looking, along with locations of great faction importance/high population.

Hand-places exactly one (1) set of X-01 pieces across the Commonwealth in very odd places! For example, the torso is in the Museum of Witchcraft, while the helmet is on the Prydwen behind the armorer! Click here for a complete list, if you want to "ruin" the fun!

Sets what few Power Armor spawns remain to Raider or T-45 (depending on the enemies who use it), and ensures that they do not respawn when the cell resets. So, you'll still have boss enemies in Power Armor. Boss Enemies that spawn in Power Armor, as opposed to entering it when the fighting starts, are unaltered and will respawn when the cell resets!

Makes it so that the only way to acquire the T-60 is to join the Brotherhood of Steel.

Changes vendor lists so that X-01/T-60 pieces won't show up, except when appropriate (BOS T-60)

Alters the Quest Reward of Cambridge Polymer Labs to produce a T-45/T-51 variant (depending on player level; attempting to force it to be T-51)

Swaps Danse's Post Blind Betrayal Power Armor for a non BOS T-60.

Swaps out all instances of the Atom Cats T-60 for the T-45, which can now use that paint. [Requires Consistent Power Armor Overhaul and optional patch; thanks Bordraw!]

Rebalances materials to repair power armor to be far more comprehensive and difficult, depending on the set and available lore pertaining to construction. Example: Helmet and Torso pieces will be much more difficult to repair than limb components due to the complexity of their construction and the resources required.

Boosts Power Armor Durability (except Raider) by 100-200% (or more!), depending on set and piece, in order to bring it more in line with new repair requirements.

Adds severe perk restrictions for repairing Power Armor depending on model. Hope you've invested in Nuclear Physicist!

Better Power Armor - A Power Armor Overhaul

Features:
~ Each power armor part covers a specific bodypart and will fully absorb the damage that the bodypart receives from the sources ballistic and laser weapon types.
- While no armor part is broken you literally take no damage.
- When a power armor part breaks this bodypart will become vulnerable and only this bodypart, all other bodyparts that are still covered, will take no damage. For example, when your left arm of your power armor breaks, only your left arm can take damage. If you get shot at the torso, you will still take no damage. etc.

~ Explosives will also be absorbed while you are fully covered by your power armor. When one bodypart breaks, you become vulnerable to explosives.

~ Melee Damage. You will absorb the damage of 1h and 2h attacks by Raiders and Super Mutants. Creatures like Deathclaw will still piece through your armor, but you will take less damage, while your power is fully functional.

~ Immunity to radition(optional), acid, poison and fire, while your Power Armor is in a good state. No part is missing or heavly damaged (red marked in the HUD)

Well, so much for Nexus validation system and me getting any mods - I have an account, I got the email, but Nexus stubbornly tells me that account is invald and doesn't exist... wtf?!

I know you specifically mentioned not saving Danse for RP purposes, but there's a mod that allows you to become the new Elder of the BOS after challenging Maxson to a duel. This was cut content originally planned for the game, but to start the quest you need to "save" Danse.

The Danse Dilemma is the name of the mod on Nexus.

I don't want to do that. I prefer to let the story be the story. I just want BoS things look sexy and have things BoS themed, like pip-boy, for example.

I would love to be an Elder (ah, that battlecoat is so sweet looking!) and restore Danse in rank of Paladin, but if Bethesda chose to cut that outcome (alas, for w/e reasons), I don't want to enforce it via mods. Besides, the more I learn about Arthur, the more I start warming up to him, so he doesn't particularly bother me. At least, unlike Preston who technically is below me in ranks, he doesn't boss me around even though it's within his power to do so :steamhappy:

So I decided to get a few mods:

Prydwen Quaters:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13218/?

BoS Kit:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2066/?

BoS Flag Replacer:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10785/?

Any particular order I need to install these? I didn't see any warning, but asking still, just in case.
I alread have BoS Military cap mod installed as well Handsom Danse mod.

I am also planning to get Sim Settlement mod soon. Would any of these somehow interject each other?

I like to dislike Maxson. He makes the BoS my favourite option to do the main quest with, with railroad coming in second, and Institute placing dead last. His morals are very clear, and at the end of the quest you don't become a leader for arbitrary reasons (Which is why I somewhat like the Railroad), while still making it seem like you've done something, and have a position of power (Which, even if you become the director of the Institute, it doesn't feel like you hold any power at all)

I could never get behind the BoS, even in a Scribe RP playthrough. I'm tainted by the Fallout Bibles which state that they are the inevitable heralds of a new Dark Age that will last 1,000 years. Even in the old games, there was something sinister about them. Maxon sort of exemplifies the departure from the US military roots to something more like Ceasar's Legion where they roll in and do thier whole "death to freaks, and also, give us all your stuff" thing.

Well, people in the Institute tell you flat out they don't like you, don't trust you yet try to mask it with how pleased they are to meet you. Everything about them is fake.

RR I dislike for their hypocriticy - they say synths should be free yet theu enforce personalities on them. Also, they are playing with fire - they reprogram them but they never track their actions so while some like Danse actually do things for good, other synths become mercs, gang members, killers. They don't allow synths form their own personalities, don't teach them anything. They are essentially playing God as much as the Institute.

I dislike Maxson's wee bit too fanatical approach, perhaps. After all, I believe that if someone doesn't know he/she is a synth but dedicated their life for the good of the Brothrhood and humanity, why punish them? Yes, it does stand against some of BoS' beliefs, but if someone like Danse is still devoted to BoS, I disagree with execution and with exile both. I mean, I did choose to keep Danse alive so he in turn keeps me alive while we traverse the Commonwealth, but it still didn't feel right he got harshly punished for something that isn't his fault.

I do agree with Maxson, however, that technology should be taken away from those who either don't know how to use it or misuse it on purpose. BoS, unlike RR and the Institute, don't play God with human lives, experiment with them or enslave them. When it comes to ghouls being feral/non-feral that sparks racism hatered towards BoS and divided community views, I personally side with BoS here - after all, non-ferals will eventually turn feral which poses potential threat to humans living near them. I don't necessarily hate them right off the bet, I kinda like Hancock actually, but I do look at the long-term picture and that is the eventual outcome. If not exterminated, they should be more isolated from the humans and closely observed for any unprecedented accidents. (for the record, I hate VT rep as a ghoul, such a bitter butthurt towards my character as if it was my fault his employer stood him up).

I also strongly believe that of all factions, BoS has humanity's best interest at heart and that they are the best chance of humanity survival in fallout world - they have ability to defend settlements, stand up to all sorts of nasty creatures; they are organized, armed and well-manned. MM is just militia - poorly equipped, poorly manned, poorly orginized. Beasides, even if MM would grow into something bigger, they will get consumed by human greed and desire for power and will end up yet another powerhungry team. I also think Preston in particular is a manipulator and aliar - he sits in Sanctuary while others do the leg work he should be doing - I am General and he is bossing me around. General should be making plans for the faction, be a tactician and a good politician to afford the growth and development of his subordinates, not save settlements days on end. Which is why yet again I prefer BoS - Maxson does exactly what a good leader should be doing; he also deeply cares for his crew and each individual under his command, judging by some of the terminal entries on board of the Prydwen. So, aside the incident with Danse, I kinda like him, and I think he is a nice person under that stern exterior.

On the other hand, Maxson is rather a hottie (sometimes wish he was romancable) who oddly looks like he is 35 despite being 20, so I don't mind him being alive and well, so i can catch glimpses of him while perousing the Prydwen for shopping and side missions. Just hope to see BoS in the next installment.
