Change to male character at the beginning .
I just spent 30 minutes plus creating my male character but forgot to switch sex options after creating the wife. Can I swap characters after the creation screen?

you don't use both characters .. :)

edit: more info. Pick who you want to play as and ignore the other person.

I want the character that I play the game as to be the male that I spent hlaf an hour creating but I chose the female by mistake. Can I swap them after the creation screen or do I have to start again?

You can switch gender using the console but you can't switch characters. Sorry but you'll have to start again.

I was afraid of that. Thanks for the response.

you have a choice after you leave the starting area to choose everything, but once you leave a certain place (big elevator going up) you're stuck with it unless you use console commands or mods.

At the exit of vault 111 you can change name, stats and appearance but not gender. You have to use console to change sex and rely on your own memory to revert to previous choices.

Yes you have an option. open the console and type:

sexchange

so you can change/switch every time the gender of your character

That only changes gender not the appearance if you've made your Nate look different to your Nora. You'll get a male version of your Nora and not the specific Nate you've spent 30mins on customising.

I started again and created a new Nate. The silver lining is I think he looks better the second time around :). Thanks again for the posts.

322 hours...and you're asking this question? What am I missing here? Did you purchase this steam account from someone?

Someone can play for way longer and still not run into every issue that might happen.

In fact in all the time Ive played I still find things and places I did not find or just did not notice in any previous playthrough much less encountered every issue that could happen.

No I didn't purchase this account from someone. I've played this game before but never made a silly mistake like that before.
