I need help.

I want to join the BOS in one of my runs, and after I killed the ghouls as the Cambridge Police Station, all Danse says is "Check your fire, we've got hostiles!" but no ghouls come. I go around, killing all the ghouls in College Square, entering killall into console to ENSURE no ghouls are around, and I come back, and he still says the same DAMN line. Please, help me, someone, to fix this problem.

What's the quest status for Fire Support? I believe 'Assist the Soldiers' should be completed (light grey with a tick box) and 'Speak to Paladin Danse' is the current stage?

If 'Assist the Soldiers' is already marked as complete, I suggest you try different things to 'unlock' Danse' speech. I don't think looking for ghouls or killall will make a difference.

Sometimes, the player's dialog choice menu does not appear if you're not facing the NPC. If you face Danse is he waiting on a reply from you?

There is a bug with Scribe Haylen. If she gets downed in the ghoul-fight, Danse won't talk to you and only say this line. Try to load a save, where she isn't downed and finish the fight again. Or use the console to resurrect her, or give her HP or whatever so she gets up again, but that could bug out the questline.

I tried restarting the mission, and I was able to start the "talk to danse" part. Scribe Haylen didn't fall and he wasn't waiting for a response.
