No Windows when building a house ?

Maybe I'm just being blind and simple, but I cant see any window frame options when building a wooden/metal building, is there none or have I just missed them ?

There arn't any in the vanilla game. You would have to use mods from nexus for that.

You will need to download Nexus Mod Manager to install your mods for you and add 3 lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini for nexus mods to work.

Surf nexusmods.com[not a link]/Fallout 4. Click the files tab then Categories. Go to the Crafting Home Settlements files and there are several mods that add windows.

There are no real windows, but some of the things you can do like building half-walls or using scaffolding railing can provide something resembling a window. I haven't seen any mods with walls with windows in them yet, but I browse through the Nexus on a regular basis looking for new settlement stuff.

In the standard wood walls there is a window made with wire mesh. Standard metal wall I use the doorway wall then add railing for window. The DLC s have windows. Some mods have tons of options for building.

What? There are several mods that add glass windows to wood and cement walls. Alternate Settlements and Clean Shacks are two I highly recommend.

... how the hell did I miss those? Hmm. I'll have to get on there and find them. Nexus searches are the bane of my existence. I miss a lot of good mods that are exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Lol. I tried that once and found nothing I was interested in. Google helps me much better. Probably one of the settings I have on the search. Usually I watch the boards and check out the occasional "best mods" video then Google it for a link on the Nexus.

While your surfing nexus you may want to read how to add the 3 lines to your Fallout4Custom.ini needed for nexus mods to work. OR, Google it.

Contraption workshop adds walls with windows for storage barns and concrete walls.

Edit: and if you take two quarters of a wooden floor you can add those wooden walls with roof as windows.

I'm seldom in the vanilla structures menu. Are those Contraptions windows glass?

In the storage barn menu they are, concrete are more open windows.

Since nobody mentioned them, go into structures wood, and then walls section then scroll all the way to the end of the section, there should be some wooden walls with glass windows in them. And as far as I am aware they are base game stuff.
