If you mean the ingame mod tab for Beth mods I can't help. I have no Beth mods and know nothing about their mod manager.

If you mean nexus mods, did you download NMM[Nexus Mod Manager]?

What .ini additions did you make and to which .ini file did you make them? It's the Fallout4Custom.ini you need to add 3 lines to for nexus mods to work.

I used the nexus mod manager, which i have used to mod skyrim and skyrim special edition, also i used two youtube videos, one i realise is out dated, however the other is the latest from the guy who made it, so i assume it works.

or if you dont trust links from strangers (i met some people who dont, i understand it also). put these in youtube

FALLOUT 4: Installing Mods using Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) **UPDATED**

FALLOUT 4: Enabling Modding for PC (UPDATED)

I possibly also added a bunch of random lines, like a bit of an idiot, not really knowing what i was doing, however i doubt it.

should i copy and paste the whole notepad pages? so you can see the whole thing?

No, and you're right, I don't click on random links.

Can you launch the game with NMM?

You say they do not show up in the load order. Do you mean they DO show under the mods tab but, not under the plugins tab?

If you made any edits to Any of the .ini's other than what I post below, they were not needed to just have nexus mods work with FO4. You may want to change them back if you can remember which ones they are.

For nexus mods to work you must add the following 3 lines to the Custom.ini located in Documents/My Games/Fallout 4. Open the Fallout4Custom.ini and under iLocation Y=0 add;

[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

If you already did that, it's all you need for nexus mods.

I launched the game with the mod manager, the load order thing is where i go onto the fallout 4 in-game main page and press mods (its underneath add ons), then i press home, to bring up the load order of the mods, to make sure that they are all there and working. I have no idea what changes i made to the scripts, other than the ones that i can find out about through the youtube videos. However i am pretty sure it has not messed up the game in a massive way, so if it is fine then i will leave it i guess. I will try adding the suggested lines, it might work thank you :D

You're welcome.

Open NMM and click on the plugins tab. As long as all your mods are listed and have check marks in the box, they will work ingame. Just make sure you have those three lines added to the Custom.ini and you're good to go. Happy gaming. :)

I checked the plugins file, its blank apart from fallout 4 esm. which is where one guide read said that is where the mods are stored, is it ok?

OK, first are you Sure your mods are not working ingame???

If they are not, go to Documents/My Games/Fallout 4 and delete the Fallout4.ini and the Fallout4Prefs.ini. Do not delete the Fallout4Custom.ini. Now verify the itegrity of the game files. Then launch the game with the Steam launcher. That will create new .ini files and hopefully fix your problem, if you have a problem. Go ingame and see if your mods work.

No, that's not ok.

Are the mods listed in NMM under the "Mods" Tab? If under nthe mods tab it shows a small icon with a number in it, double click that tiny icon.

Go to one of the mods and double click on it to ACTIVATE it. Then once it has a green check mark click the plugins tab and it will be there.

Luckily i did not trust a stranger 100% and cut them over to a new file, i will move them back.
Also i am pretty sure they are all active, i will deactivate them and reactivate them.

p.s. the upgraded texture things is downloading for fallout4 right now (the FreeLC thing)
Váli May 13, 2017 @ 12:55pm
Oh yeah, it comes up with an error, which is a file i changed, (the old fallout 4.INI edit is causing long load times, please remove it from your Ini file, set it as SResourceDataDirsFinal=
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

where is that?
ronr42 May 13, 2017 @ 12:55pm
Oh boy. Unless you have a 1080 and play at a much higher resoulution than 1920x1080 you won't see much if any improvement from that free texture pack. It will just be 54GB of wasted space.,
