Vault 81 - any place to 'stay/sleep'..? [No Large Spoilers Please]

Just wondering if I'm missing something at Vault 81 - it seems to be full of amenities it even has a Doctor! but I can't seem to find a Bed to crash on. I sensed they don't like 'outsiders' but there is no place to stay at 81..?

Finish the main quest there and you'll unlock it, depending on your "decision." (Look at your characters status before doing it, the game doesnt notify you well of "it" and it makes it look like its just part of the story. "It" isnt, it's real.)

(Do the short "find the cat" quest which is the trigger, and come back in 24 hours, the main quest will activate when you talk to the Overseer, if she doesnt approach you first. I don't think she does on her own.)

Also, not to spoil it for you (as I quite enjoyed the mission that unlocks what you are seeking!), SAVE!!!!! Save A LOT!! And don't take companions with you, if you can help it. While it is possible to do it in one shot and with multiple companions (in my modded game, I had 7 during this mission), it becomes a pain in the arse when you realize that YOU did everything right, while your companions caused the "trouble".

As a bonus side point. If you use mods, there are a few nice ones that compliment the vault. I, personally, like Elianora's additions!

AND, at the end of the quest, there is another bonus waiting for you, as well. It is part of one of the achievements.

Been awhile since I did this mission, but isn't there a bed in the infirmary you can use to save the game?

maybe its because i use ufo4p but the "problem" that can happen really only happens when i got hit by very special ones, not every one in there gves it to you, and it MUST BE YOU who get hit to take a chance get it at all, they beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of my companions and even the automatrons and i dont get it. ever. only when myself got a blow from one of 2 special kinds of them, and even than (maybe because i used x01 there normaly) mosttimes i dont got it.
the infirmary beds count as owned as long you not friend of the vault by doing the quest.
the nearest free bed is before Vault81 at one of the huts.

If I may Update this Discussion (and finalize it), thanks for the helpful information, all - indeed I could not sleep anywhere in Vault 81, until I 'finished the area' (trying not to give Spoilers).

Thanks, but no, I checked the beds; even though there are a few Stretchers, they can't be slept on, heh.

To help other players, at Vault 81; there are beds outside of the Vault entrance that can be utilized for Sleeping/Saving (esp. in Survival Mode).

If they haven't yet fixed this bug regarding someone you can recruit at the end of a quest in Vault 81, this may be important:

If not recruited inside the medical area (instead of just outside it), Curie has a bug where she'll go back there every time she's not travelling with you as a companion, even if you try to send her to a specific settlement. You want to avoid this bug if possible (physically push her inside if necessary, and do it before delivering the quest item), since it can't be fixed without console commands, and that can get messy.

I walked into the room as soon as she opened the door... perhaps these 'tips' can help others if they run into this (to avoid it)

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the medical area in the main part of Vault 81, when you arrive back there with the cure in hand, not the secret part where you first meet Curie and she opens the door to let you in.

Ah yes, I did not run into this issue, so I did not think of that area specifically, thank you; Curie approached me just outside of the Clinic in Vault 81 and became my Companion without issue - she does not exhibit this problem after Sleeping/etc... In fact, I created a GIF just now of it (Curie offering to be my Companion just outside of the Clinic) ((but can't seem to share it here with a Spoiler Cover on it?)) just in case this is happening to people (to show that it does not 'always happen/to everyone' - but it is sad that it can occur...there seem to be a lot of potential 'bugs' in Vault 81...)
