But if you are just test driving the idea of mods you could start by using Beth.net

I haven't used it for skyrim yet just fallout 4 but I expect it to be just as easy.
lazyness.
the only problem I had with Vortex was the bodyslide mod, be sure to choose the one in the actual game directory and not the one in the vortex mods folder
other then that its a great manager it works for everything else I installed on it so far
I actually have mods from both camps (Nexus and Bethesda .Net mods) installed on my vortex mod manager . The nexus have both the mods and plug-ins in , with Bethesda .net mods only the plug-ins are installed . there is mod folder found at ''My Games / Fallout 4 '' which has your mods
from both camps . I have well over 2 hundred mods installed
Nexusmods is best and the biggest reason is that its easier to find mods there when there is 30,000+ of them. Start by looking under catagories at the top of the page.

Modding is great but alot can go wrong to and have to do it manually to even be able to do it at all basically.
Its even easier to do it manually.
I am convinced mod managers are to turn off customers to modding.
