Is Razorgrain even farmable?
I only use a few settlements in some select places in the Commonwealth as glorified workbenches so I don't have to cart stuff all over the map to upgrade gear. I also use them to make crops I need for Vegetable Starch and Mirelurk Cake production.

However, I have never been able to get Razorgrain to be farmed, at all. Currently, I have Sanctuary producing Tato only, along with Abernathy (I removed the Gourd and replaced with Tato), Tenpines is Corn only, Greygarden is Mutfruit and Starlight is Razorgrain. All the settlements, except Starlight, store their crops, which means I have to always go to Starlight to be able to make Mirelurk Cakes as I have to manually harvest them everytime.

I don't use many mods and this issue happened with Vanilla FO4, before I even started using mods so they aren't the issue but I can't figure out why Razorgrain is never farmed. It's a small annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless.

By never farmed do you mean you can’t harvest it or it doesn’t generate in the workshop?

If it’s not generating in the workshop it’s likely because people are eating it.

How much crop are you producing in Starlight? You'll need to account for settlers taking their share every 24 hours. There's also a limit to how much crop can be stored before production halts so its possible you hit your cap and razorgrain isnt being produced (limit is 10 + 1 for each settler in a settlement). There are mods to lift that cap.
I mean the Razorgrain, and only the Razorgrain, doesn't generate in the workshop. and I have 12 food (24 Razorgrain) planted in Starlight and it has three settlers (two on the food, one provisioner). All other crops I have planted (Mutfruit, Corn, Tato) generate in workshops except the Razorgrain.

Sanctuary: five settlers, 12 food (Tato); Abernathy: 18 food (Tato), three settlers; Tenpines: two settlers, 12 food (Corn); Greygarden: 24 food (split between Mutfruit/Tato).

So for Starlight the max amount of food you can have in your workshop is 13 before your settlers stop gathering crop. Did you check to make sure you don't have 13 total food in the Starlight workbench (this includes regular food too so you need to remove those or store them elsewhere).
I have zero food in the Starlight workshop. I keep all my Mirelurk meat and eggs in a separate cooler I build next to the cooking pit.

Including junk like bubblegum? Trash food counts
Yeah, I re-checked a second time as I couldn't remember if I stored the random crap in the storeroom but there's nothing there. I removed the settlers from the crops replanted them then reassigned the settlers. I'll come back after going through Automatron and see if that worked, which is doubtful.

Hey. That is the best food item of them all. I can never keep enough … :steammocking:

Might be a problem with mods or something else. I know I ran into that problem at one time with several crops not working when I tried a mod that lowered or altered the plant so they were not floating so high.

I see something similar. Some one posted about the order in which the settlers use the food themselves. But I forget the order. Try making one settlement with nothing but razorgrain and with a lot of excess. Like 4 settlers total and 48 razorgrain plants (24 food).

Tatoes are top of the list iirc, and razorgrain is near the bottom.

Another option is pure robotic farm settlement.

I thought I remembered it being alphabetically sorted for the crops; tatos were getting eaten preferentially just because they happened to be the closest to the end of the alphabet.

What about supply lines? If your settlement is a supply chain and other settlements are under-supplied....
Just a thought..
Forgot to check if replanting worked before I went to bed but...

I currently have five settlements, with ten settlers and I'm producing 34 or 36 Tato, so do you honestly think my supply line is under-supplied? The reason I keep settlements/settlers to a minimum is so that I can over-produce Tato and forget about them, just using the workbenches/cooking fires when needed.

Edit: Replanting seems to have worked in generating the RG in the workshop but now 3 of the plants aren't being farmed so I guess more replanting lol.

They are in alphabetical order: carrots least desirable, tatos the most. https://youtu.be/_faSkUliYR8
