Unable to add more turrets at the Castle

So for whatever reason it isn't letting me place down more turrets at the castle
I have the materials and the settlement space but it just suddenly won't let me add more of them

built limit the castle has a stupidly low build limit

Yep, I think build sites have a limit on triangles, or vertices, so the game doesn't slow down too much, and, my theory is, the castle already has lots of triangles so you're limited in what you can build. Remove stuff like walls, floors and ceilings you have built to free up more vertices.

And I place turrets on top of the castle wall so attackers cannot get to them so easily.

It wasn't due to build limit weirdly enough, it didn't come up with a message saying maximum build limit.
When I reloaded after a complete restart it was totally fine

Nice try, but the Institute enemies will just teleport inside the castle so you are better off relying on companions or robots (hordes of nuclear armed sentry bots roaming the countryside are particularly immersive)

Yeah, with gatling lasers versions versus the BOS attack it looks like the Battle of Leyte Gulf

I've never gotten an error message when I hit a build limit. The game just would gray out items so I could not build anything, but I still had all the supplies to build it.
