Worthless Settlement Structures
How do I get rid of the worthless structure at Tenpines Bluffs that is taking up like a quarter of the settlement. It is roofless and the walls are mostly torn down. Its also immensely ugly. But I cannot even scrap it. I would like to build a better structure there.

Build over the top of it and use the destroyed bottom as a barn for the cow.

Have you tryd this?

Before you do anything via console. Make a save game and use that as backup save if things do not go as you want to. If you have items you want to save move them into Workshop bench.
this will remove any loose objects within that camp border, it will convert an object that can generate "junk" items to your workstation, so you will not lose the material from e.g. trees been removed.

open console and type: scrapall

there is also a Mod : Scrap Everything (PC) ingame fallout 4 mod section

It is very close to the settlement border but if you are careful you can pull it off hiding most of the junk. I have put the water and power under there as well in some old build. There is no safe non mod way to clear that kind of stuff that I know about.

Just open up the console, click on the unwanted object and type "Disable". And if you acidentaly disable the wrong thing, just type "enable" while the object is still selected.

That is tempting. Why should a person by forced to have certain objects in there settlements. In real life there is such a thing as an axe. Cut the thing to pieces and use it for firewood.

Just be careful and backup. It *can* go wrong. Also what's wrong with a little challenge?

Got to love that advice to use a console command to scrap something that can not be scrapped.

Simply because the developers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy. They know both modders and players will come along wiht console commands and fix their sloppy ♥♥♥♥ for them.

There is default beds at Abernathy Farm that can ♥♥♥♥ with your happiness, been a known issue for two years. Those beds are not scrapable. Instead of fixing the beds the developers fixed an exploit where they could be removed without the console. Used to be able to clean up the crap around Covenant witht he exploit too.

Another great example, the ladder to nowhere at the outpost next to Ten Pines. You can destroy everything else around it but the magical ladder stays there.

Those console commands will also permanently remove other oversight ♥♥♥♥ the lazy developers left behind. The indestructible magical moving corpses at Sunshine Tidings and Starlight Drive In.

I could probbaly go on for about six more pages of ranting about how much the develoeprs suck at their jobs.

First off. You are an idiot. Now that that is out of the way I can explain why you are an idiot.

You are using a mod that makes them scrapable. So guess what happens when you use the scrapall command? It scraps them.

Now for those playing vanilla with NO MODS they are NOT scrapable. Which means using the scrappall command will have NO EFFECT on them.

Which is why I laughed at your stupid advice to use the scrapall the first time you gave it to someone playing vanilla. Then to simply come back again a second time and say it again WITHOUT thinking trying to prove me wrong makes me laugh even harder at you.

He was just trying to give helpful advice which I appreciate. There is no need for name calling.

It was not helpful advice because the scrapall command does not remove it.

Both myself and Jon said that.

He came right back and said it again claiming I was wrong. Not ever considering he could be wrong because the mod he is using makes it scrapable.
