The generator is literally right there in the same room not 5ft away. Open workshop and run a power cable to the radio switch. Takes 5 seconds. If you can't figure out something simple how to power a small object like a switch, then perhaps a DLC where you are supposed to build an entire vault wasn't the best option for you.

I would if that where possible, if you cant figure out something that simple then perhaps you should hang yourself...but since you are so eager to provide your opinion, let me explain to one as stupid as you.

Step one: attach wire to switch
Step two: attach wire to generator
Step three: Watch wire disappear
Step four: Inverse of steps one and two
Step five: see step three
Step six: go eat a bag of ♥♥♥♥♥

Because you're doing something wrong and we're all trying to make fun of you.

Same in my game too. It just worked when I went there, but later it stopped working, and then I attached a wire and it worked again. Whatever the heck it is you're doing, you're doing something terribly wrong. Are you playing fallout 4 above 60 FPS? That may actually be the problem.

@baleron I'm having the same issue now. I'm assuming its Sim Settlements, but I'm not sure. Searching the web before I begin troubleshooting myself. I had to turn off Scrap Everything to get into the vault area. Hopefully there will be a Scrap Everything patch fixing the issue soon.

As for you. This post was requesting assistance in fixing an issue. Take your unnessasary rudeness elsewhere. I've reported you, hopefully, you'll get banned from steam community. People with toxic attitudes like yours bring the community as a whole down.

Rethink your life choices.

@Baleron After making this post, I simply exited the vault, and re-endered. It was because the reactor was out damaged, but would not let you fix it in workshop. I can assume when we killed the ghouls in the reactor room, we hit, and damaged the reactor.

Leaving, and re-entering the zone fixes the issue.

I gave two fixes to the problem and the OP didn't want to hear either of them. And I'm the one that's toxic? Also there's no mods here in these forums and the "report" goes to local forum mods for fallout 4, not steam themselves. Nice try though. Even if they did do anything I'd just be banned from the fallout 4 forums, big deal.

Also: You should go take a browse through the ark evolved forums. Community over there is way more 'toxic' than any of my posts here. They're all outright jerks and just mean there. Nothing happens to any of em.

Eyo, listen here you furry pos, you didnt give a solution, you assumed OP hadnt tried attaching a wire already. You were sarcastic and rude, OP didnt want to hear because you're an actual cretin, and OP replied to you saying they had tried your 'solutions' already. Go wave your micropeen elsewhere and go try that trash attitiude irl, you wont get away without at least a smack to your artificially inflated ego.

This is 7 months old, stop with the thread necro. Go open a new topic if you have issues.

The switch should already be wired. Double check that the power is actually on. If all else fails, wire it yourself, but probably won't work because there's no power.

p.s. The original post did NOT say he had already tried wiring it in. Just saying.
It seems it's a totally random 50/50 chance that this part of the game will actually work when you go there. Some people it works, some people are unlucky and it doesn't work. And if it doesn't work for you there's no fix. Just hope and pray they'll patch it later. Or someone in the community patches it via mod. Otherwise there's not really anything else to discuss here. Try and run a wire to it, if that doesn't work then I guess you're screwed. It may have a lot to do with your game's performance too. In general with all bethesda games, you need to run the game @ constant locked 60 FPS or the game's scripts will freak out, break, and stuff won't work. This is a serious thing with bethesda games. There's a very real possibility that if you're running with any FPS higher than 60 and go in to this area for the first time, the game's scripts to enable this thing probably will break on you and not let you attach anything later.

Maybe new generator? Wire it differently.

Also the amount of toxicity here by one individual is concerning.. OP asked for help and only receives witty comments. So much for humanity.
