Store Cap Income Question
Maybe my game was bugged, not sure but I started over to avoid having supply lines with all the glitches. I am level 22 right now and have 14 settlers at Red Rocket. I have four stores, Clinic, Armor, Weapons and Bar. They are all emporium level. I am only generating 44 caps per day instead of 50. My last play through my shops generated 50 per day with only a few settlers at Red Rocket and they were level two stores. Is this a bug or is it actually working properly and will increase with settler increase? Thanks!!

Yes

I deleted a ton of saves and went back to where I only had five supply lines. I found them all and killed them to break the lines. After that the store totals went wack. I was generating 18 caps per day then it changed to 36 then 44 once I reached 14 settlers so that is why I was thinking maybe it increased with settler totals.

Ugh guess I have to totally start over and hope for the best. Love bugs..love 'em!!!! :)

But to be honest I somehow never really bought stuff in Fallout 4. With the right perk you also get rich very soon. So don't worry too much about it.

I just want to make sure the cap generation is working. As I found out from the last go around on the game, one small bug can really cause problems. That is why I wanted to break all the supply lines before Hangmans Alley without going all the way back to level 1. I was level 107 when I stopped and went back to level 16. :(

Thanks for the info. Not too concerned about earning the caps as I know I will be cap rich at some point. I had around 500,000 caps when I stopped at level 107 because of a bug. My concern is my stores are not generating 50 caps per day. They are not damaged either. The per day cap amounts have changed as more settlers moved in so I was wondering if the per day amount changes as your settler total increases. It was 18 then 36 and now it is 44 caps per day with 14 settlers. Always before, didn't matter the settler total I got 50 caps per day.

If my game is bugged, and yes it's minor I will most likely start over. I had a "minor" supply line bug that killed me at 107 so that is why I started over so I could eliminate supply lines totally.

Who buys and sell stuff in Fallout 4 has lost control of his life.

Yeah I just went back some saves to the first day after I put a level 2 store in at Red Rocket. I was getting 14 caps per day. Ugh...yeah me level 1 here I come! :)

Bunker Hill usually has a shedload of caps in the workshop after it is unlocked. Seems to get a fair amount afterwards, without the need to build stores, and the caps replenish.

Needs progression in the Institute quest line to get it but BH seems to yield loads of caps with no player input.

Getting caps not anything I am worried about. Just worried my settlement stores are not working properly and only generating 14 caps per day instead of 50.

The bank south of Backstreet apparell is good caps to raid every time it respawns.

as is the cash registers in thaneul hall.

Poisoned Caltrops are a DLC item one of those 'buy my DLC I'll give you infinite caps' items

I don't really find myself BUYING alot of things in the game. aside from Ammo. which I normally pay for with random loot I picked up.

I'm using a Two shot assault rifle primarily, runs on 5.56 which I buy for 4 caps a round with 6 CHA.
