In real life its a wave. Think of light as a quick and dirty way of thinking about it. Which ironically enough could explain how it became irradiated (using in game logic). Light is both a particle and a wave.
The fact that radiation leaked into the glass and it's still drinkable, and made to be drinken with said isotopes make some sense but not a lot.
Must be a really thick glass.
Well, you can drink a nuka cola in under a milisecond, so one has to assume the rest is glass.
