What is this radioactive fog and when does it aррear

Just started рlaying Fallout 4, encountered this. When does this event haррen

it came from a place called the glowing sea. you will go there at some point in the main storyline

"geomagnetic radiation storms" ... it's part of the "new climate" since the world was blown up.

It's a radiation storm. Basically when wind blows radioactive clouds from the Glowing Sea (which is a nuclear wasteland around the area where the bomb hit) all over the Commonwealth. Best thing to do is to sleep for an hour or so, otherwise you will take rad damage periodically.
They seem to happen at random for me.

Gas mask solved the рroblem for me. And my fрs increases to 45 during this.

Just be aware sea doesn't always means bikini.
