Trying Real Hard NOT to Kill Arturo

Decided to openly steal a bunch of stuff in Diamond City since I needed the scrap, knowing what would happen next. So, I decided ahead of time who would live and who would die as soon as the folks went hostile on me.

I also told Dogmeat to stay put in Homeplate because I know how he gets in fights. As much as I love him for NEVER judging me for anything I say or do, (even abandoning him injured early on in the game when I couldn't stimpack him, he just happily waited for my return to Red Rocket) I didn't need him killing EVERYONE in the city.

To Kill:
Takahashi (doesn't buy my loot unless it's food and drink and overcharges for what amounts to ramen; so, screw it)
Swatter Vendor (Not a melee character anyway and he wouldn't stop chasing me with his bat; so, couple bullets put him down quick)
All of DC Security (No use to me and I can make some caps off their garbage items)
The Eyebots (Lol'ed when the last one I shot played Travis on the air thanking me for helping him)

Not to Kill:
Nameless residents of DC (Decided to spare them because they let me do as I damn well please whether it's stealing or killing)
Abbot (As long as he minds his damn business and keeps DC green, he stayed well under my radar)
Arturo (I go through bullets like candy; so, as a general rule of thumb, I don't kill weapon vendors)
Myrna (♥♥♥♥♥ might be crazy, but she owns the general store in town and is too valuable an asset in my book to put down)

There were others I wanted to avoid killing, but even after waiting until night, Percy went hostile on me and chased me all the way to DC Security HQ where I planned to finish off DC security. He left me no choice and I figured I don't really need the night time shopping option anyway. Polly, the meat vendor (I think) took pot shots at me with her gun no matter what time of day or night; so, I killed her since I don't buy her overpriced meat anyway.

So, now DC is calm again including some of the people who shot at me...except Arturo. Which leaves me wondering how long it is going to take for him to not shoot at me with a pipe gun (ironic considering all of the superior firepower his shop offers).

Go away for about 3 days and they'll all turn friendly again..

Rumors give no exp or anything, so why would he care about that? Genuine question no offence meant.

Killing or robbin vendor is never worth it at long run. Just build water purifiersa and sell water or dont get abernathy farm, so you can sell Melon at overprice(Speech check asking about CAPS) to Mrs Abernathy.

Out of curiousity, whats the most spreaded way to deal with that drugdealer wolfgang outside that small shop diner south of concord? I usually squeeze as much charisma checks as possible out of him before i kill him.

Is there a "best way" or doesnt it really matter in the long run?

What do you mean? Preston and others like piper etc surprisingly hates when you go against the drugdealer.. Never made sense to me.

Easiest at low lvl on very hard is to help drug dealer since him and the bodyguard are really tough at that point.

You can negotiate peacefully. In long run, hes vendor and His and His bodyguard corpses are spawnpoint to raiders. So if you kill him and bodyguard, drag bodies to woods :)

I usually negotiate a peaceful settlement between the opposing sides so that I can keep both as vendors.
