Nukaworld requires expert lockpicking?

Did I miss some kind of warning that you need to have expert lockpicking to succesfully get into NW? Don't see any way past that door in the rad room during the gauntlet. I looked up 2 guides after getting stuck on it and neither of them even mention it, I guess they assume everyone automatically took those perks? I have to use console commands since I can't pick that high of a lock and I can't fast travel away to go level up a few times and get them....if that really is the only way to proceed that is a very stupid game design. Only other way out is to reload an old save?

If it's for the main mission, you will not need any perk at any level. Any locked doors/terminals will be the most basic, so you can attempt to unlock them.

There should be a holotape or key for every room with a lock or terminal keeping from anything
