Do i have to?
Do i have to start a new game if i want to try out the Atlas Summit Redux mod or not? It says by the author to start a new game to make it work.

If a mod author says to do something normally you want to do it.

No, same as with your IPhone, if it tells you Batterie is low, just completly ignore it.
IPhones don´t need Batteries to run.

You have to choose between the red pill and the blue pill.

Mod author instructions usually reflect how scripts initialize in the game. This is a borderline call. Mod author pointed out that "clean save" (which does not actually exist) is not enough to clear the way for the mod, because functions need to get called without old script data interfering with it.

It is borderline, because if you didn't have the previous version of the mod installed, or did not play past the point where scripts initialize, then new game is not required.

If you did have old script data, or scripts will initialize early in the game (disincluding the check to initialize active scrips, which may be same for all version numbers of the mod), then you will have to start a new game.

I do not know where the initialization point is with this mod. It might be right from the start. Scripts will make checks at srtart anyway, just to see if they need to be active or not.

When ever mod author recommends using a new game, then I would follow instructions. Usually these sort of scripts have checks from the beginning, so it is safest to start a new game with them.

Didn't need to start a new game, works fine and haven't ran into any issues.

Does that show up in the inventory in the aid catergory?
