Dustbowl Overhaul

I loved the way Fallout 3 and Vegas landscape was, mostly like a desert, a realistic wasteland, anyway, I have been searching on ways to replicating that with mods that perhaps removed the vast majority of the trees but so far all I got was the contrary, a tons of mods to add more vegetation but not a single one to remove vegetation and trees... then I found the mod "Dustbowl Overhaul" and it look like a steep in the right decision but, it came with too many things I felt are not necessary, like a weather system (I already use one) and many other things I don't really need... so, do anyone in here, anybody... have found a mod that just partially (not all) remove trees and vegetation?
