Changing weapon sounds

So I have these two fantastic mod weapons I downloaded from the nexus. What I'm looking to do is change the sound of one so that it sounds like the other, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've tried going into the creation kit and changing it's sound keyword in the editor and saving it, but that doesn't do anything, it still has it's original sound in the game. Could anyone explain to me how to me step by step how to do this correctly?

That won't work with the CK, you need to swap the sound files in the directory.

Go to Fallout 4/Data/sounds, then you need to locate in what folder your mods installed their sounds (can't help you here, everyone has their own organization, some will store them under weapons, others in a folder with their name, etc)

Once you found them, just copy paste from one folder to another and rename the sounds so that they fit

Thanks for the guidance. I looked but the particular weapons doesn't seem to be in the directory.
