Problem with the Far Harbor quest, Witch Hunt

after taking a break from the game for about a month, i can’t back to be in the middle of What Atom Deserves. it says i’ve already helped the high confessor, but i haven’t completed or even been given Witch Hunt and i don’t remember how that part of the quest was fulfilled. does it have anything to do with me finishing the main storyline of Far Harbor first?

Wish I could tell you better, but, possibly? Check your finished quest list, see if it's there. The Wikia page for the quests mentions it can be made unfinishable via plot choices: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Witch_Hunt

Don't be surprised if you can't find it in the finished quest list either, regardless of what you actually did back then. I have a BOS char whose finished quest list is now completely missing the quest for the lumber mill settlement, which originally got bugged thanks to my own main Far Harbor plot choices with her.
