as for darts to use, the berserking darts are nice if you sneak up on a group. 1 man goes crazy and the others kill it. and you only needed one shot.
as for the other darts i've found little use, the targets i would use them on are resistant to the effects anyway.
That's one I missed. Makes a lot of sense and appeals to my sense of humour.
Definitely going to try it.
I like pipe sniper rifles. They're light for one thing. It's not too hard to assemble a suppressed .50 calibre with a recon scope at earlyish levels without the required Gun Nut perks. A suppressor from a pistol, a recon scope from something else and so on.
Guess there's a use for it somewhere, but I haven't found it in the short time i've used it
[Edit] One way to look at is it, one syringe for one event. Like if I come across a settlement of raiders and just want to mess with them I fire off a berserk dart. Also, lock-joint dart for the occasional alpha deathclaw encounter. No one played Assassin's Creed Black Flag?
Make a Glass-house in a settlement with an Insect cage inside it. Shoot the insect with Bloatfly ammo and a new one spawns on killing it, with a new gland. Rinse and repeat close to indefinitly. On Survival there is a reasonable high chance a Legendary enemy spawn each time.
With like 30 ish Ammo you can get easily half (15) Legendary Items, and enough Glands to make back half + the ammo used.
Go to Swan, put some debuffs on him, and finish him off with a normal 10mm.
Sneak up on a Super mutant Enforcer or some other very strong enemie and beserk them or debuff them. Beserk on the strongest tank in a group can decimate the whole group.
The Syringer is a side-arm, one needs another set of weapons to do the fighting.
Are you dissatisfied with the legeldaries you have found ? The Syringer lets you , in-a-way, craft your own effects for your specific needs. It is a great fun to use when you get used to it.
