From the Bethesda Launcher which you can get from bethesda.net. (download for the launcher is to the top right)
I think your going to really like the construction kit.
www.bethesda.net i think. Got it nearly two years ago myself so...
My settlers all have awsome gear and companions awsome clothes and weapons. Settlers are no longer invulnerable and lvl up with the player. The entire game looks and sounds different than how it orinally was.
I dont add weapons or change gear stats because i dont want to fool with balance. I do give companions weapons that done use ammo though.
Valentine looks human but has synth eyes. He comes with a short barrel combat rifle that doesnt need ammo. Just one example. I have put about 5 gb of sounds, model, sound replacers and repacked it into the original files so it doesnt slow loading even a fraction.
Can make this game into quite literally anything.
thinking of just making a new save so i get rid of the glitched bridge which is spawning because of previously using scrap mods, the replacer bridge shouldve properly replaced the vanilla bridge if i hadnt been using scrap mods.
trying to find out how i save character looksmenu saves for my character and piper
SLM ? works fine. I used the CK to clean up the settlements.
Dont use mods. Really. Use the construction kit to do what 10 mods do with only 1 personal mod.
I made a mod called trashdelete where i used the contruction kit to clean up every settlement of trash. Replace the broken sanctuary bridge with the prewar one. Replace many other items with their prewar models. and a bunch of other stuff. All in one mod.
Another mod completely changes the way diamond city looks.
Another mod does maybe 250 NPC's with various changes. Almost all equipment load outs and cosmetic.
I use very few actual mods that are not mine. But MASSIVE amounts of sound texture and model replacers.
*TrueStormsFO4.esm (from nexus, excellent, to bad about the settings items ruining it)
*FeralGhoulOUTBREAK.esp (from nexus excellent)
*EFF.esp (multiple allies, nexus, excellent)
*Pip-Boy Flashlight.esp (nexus, excellent)
*RealTroughs.esp (stay away from those old bathtubs brahmin! nexus)
*Highwayman.esp (must have for survival nexus, excellent, nexus)
*DiamondCity.esp (makes diamond city a more cyberpunk city, mine)
*hancock_handsome.esp (makes hancock human,nexus)
*Settlermod.esp (changes about 250 npcs gear cosmetics, mine)
*TrashDelete.esp (cleans up trash and tons of other stuff mine)
*Vault-tecMkII.esp (cleans up trash, mine)
*NewNukaWorld2.esp (cleans up trash and makes npcs look better, mine)
*llamaCompanionHeather.esp (awsome mod from nexus)
*FarHarbourMod.esp (cleans up trash from nexu)
*BogartNick - Gen 2.esp (makes Valentine human but with synth eyes from nexus)
*console.esp (allows console to do cait and pipers cosmetics then i remove it)
+5 GB of replacers.
110% stable. Never crash. No load time delays.
i also regret building pre-war houses because i dont feel like those clean looks arent very lore friendly, looks decent enough with texture overhauls over the wooden structures to at least make it seem like it was done by someone who knows how to build houses and preserve the material
SAVE, very important.
open your console, '~' key on PC, click on the bridge and type in 'modpos z 100', that will move your selection up by 100 units, just to make sure its the bridge you've got. If its not the bridge, just type in 'modpos z -100' to put whatever it was back in place and try again.
once you have the bridge, 'markfordelete' will get rid of it next time the area is loaded.
The problem is, its not just the bridge... it includes a sizable chunk of the brickwork around the ends as well. do a modpos z 100 and take a walk around to see what youll have to rebuild and if its worth the effort to ya.
I was thinking about getting rid of that unsightly bridge just now and replacing it with a concrete covered bridge, all pretty looking and shifting the parts into place outside the build zone with console commands BUT the stonework at the ends would be too much work so I'm gonna look for some mods for it, see if anything suits my fancy.
EDIT:
try this beautiful beast from Nexus, I just found it !!
