Piper's face tanned like leather (bug)

Piper's face is for some reason tanned, but not the rest of her body.
like her face is made out of leather.
is this somehow possible to revert?

EDIT:
So I tried a few things like loading an older save, like really old, I'm in this run around 48 hours in and decided to go to one of the earliest saves I had, than I went to piper to look, if it is fixed.
But it isn't. but I can remember that I didn't had this problem that early in my game.
EDIT²: I also tried some suggestion and solutions people gave me, also installed that mod, but it still is bugged.

I've seen a lot of people have a lot of reasons for this , but from what i can tell, it's usually a conflict with the base body and certain armor sets. Usually a quick load solves it, or straight up restarting the game. But In all honesty, no armor mod is worth that bug. Makes your character look really weird. Try Uninstalling any armor set you had recently (Make sure Piper or you ain't wearing it too). Hope that helps

It's a bug that's usually caused by conflicting face textures. You can fix it quickly by opening the looksmenu on Piper (open the console, click on piper, type slm 21f1, close console) and then change her skin tone to something else.
If you want to fix it permenently you will have to find the mod conflict, but we won't be able to help with that unless you post your load order.

You probably just need to reload the game. I've seen it happening twice in 1200 hours of game play and it goes away after you load a save file or change locations.

I relocated a lot of times since it first happened and loaded different saves in the past, but it never reverted back. does Piper have to be with me as a companion?

So, I finally answer.
I tried but it let's say... it kinda works.
the main problem is I have a mod, which changes Piper's appearance (Loving Piper) mod, I tried to uninstall it, but it still was buggy, let alone that because I uninstalled the mod, Piper looked like she was the product of incest.
but now why it "kinda works". I can't change any specific things like hair, skin color, nose, lips, eye color, you name it. but when I decide to use one of the preset faces, the skin color changes, problem is, that Piper doesn't look like Piper or my mod anymore and trying to get her look at close to the original/mod would be such way too much effort.

But you do have mods that alter the body meshes, right? You don't *need* the HR DLC to have the issue, it happened here and I don't have it either.

welp, I installed the mod that should have fixed the problem, but it didn't. Piper still has a leather face.

I changed locations a lot and loaded older saves, but it still is there.
