Surgery chair bug?

I cant use the surgery or barber chair because I cant sit down and when I try to talk to the settler whos assinged to it, they just ask me if they can travel around with me. How can I fix this?

Codsworth is assigned to the Barber Chair, Preston Garvey to the first surgery chair and Cait to the second one.

Make sure nothing is blocking your access to the chair. Leave a good amount of space around it.

Are you using any mods?

Followers are not best options for those chairs. Their companion dialogue tends to overwrite the job dialogue. I would recommend assigning settlers to them instead.

get out of your power armor? heh no do not assign companions to shops or have them man chairs, they farm or pedal bikes ok though
