CTD with ENB
Whenever I try to run the game with ENB, it stays at a black screen for 5 minutes or so, and then crashes. What do I do? I know my system can handle ENB because I have one for Skyrim, and I've ran Fallout 4 with an ENB before, it just decided today wasn't the day to work.

If you're using F4SE AND an ENB that's based on Reshade 2.0, that's why you're crashing. You can easily test this by moving the dxgi.dll file OUT of your Fallout 4 game directory and then launch the game with the F4SE launcher. If you don't crash, then Reshade is the culprit since the dxgi.dll file IS Reshade.

I heard of this, so I uninstalled F4SE as none of my mods really need it. But it still crashes

OK, you DO meet the game's hardware requirements. right??

If you do (check the store page for a listing), then I'd look at the ENB next, if I were you. Uninstall the ENB and see if you still crash.
If not, then verify you're installing the ENB correctly and you meet the requirements of the ENB, if any.

If you STILL crash after uninstalling the ENB, then the next step is eliminating a mod conflict. If you've been running modded Skyrim, you should know the routine on how to find a conflict.

I'd bet you my genitals and all my life's savings that I meet far above the minimum requirements for Fallout 4. I have 600 hours in and about 500 of that was with Max settings with the worst fps drop being at 35. That being said, I'll look at the page to see if my specs match up. Also, if you look at my screenshots, you can tell I've used ENB before. (Not saying you should be, just saying my screenshots are proof)

Also, I'm using PRC ENB but that's not the problem. Whenever I have the files that make ENB run it crashed. You know, the .dll ones. Also using wrapper version

I'll post my load order later in here, but I doubt that any of the plugins I'm using could be conflicting

I don't use PRC myself but after a quick glance at the author's page on Nexus, he states in VERY small print to make sure that any and all files from a previous ENB installation be deleted.
I suggest you triple check that - it's easy to miss one. Aside from that, take a look at your mods, and if you're using the HD Texture Pack, try disabling that and see if the crashing stops.

Also, no need to bet your weiner - I believe you.

well, I uninstalled the game and my mods in attempt to fix this ♥♥♥♥ so I'm pretty sure I've already deleted all related ENB files, although it's worth another shot. Im actually not sure if I use the official HD texture pack, if I am, that's another problem I need to fix.

When uninstalling the game, do a "delete local content" through Steam first. Then delete ALL the ini files in /Documents/my games/Fallout4/ (THIS IS IMPORTANT). Lastly, delete the entire Fallout 4 GAME folder. (THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT)

When you re-install the game, you'll now be vanilla. Launch the game with the default STEAM launcher and let it detect your settings. This will create a brand new set of ini file AND also update the game's registry entries.

Don't install any mods EXCEPT your ENB. See if your game crashes with just the ENB. It's very possible that the new ini files you just created could be the fix.

If your game DOESN'T crash with just the ENB, start installing your mods 2 or 3 at a time. Launch and see if you crash. Rinse and repeat until the problem reappears.

It's very possible that the re-installation of everything is the fix.

alright, so I did this.. still didn't work. Which leads me to believe it was something to do with a windows app (kinda like visual c++) do you think I may have the wrong version of c++ or something

I believe I've already tried that, but I'll do it again.
EDIT: Yep, no luck.
