Armor/weapon batch removal?
Hi. I’m looking to remove the mods on weapons/armor to make my inventory neater/ easier to use. For example, I have 10 light combat armor chest plates with slightly different options so I have 10 different lines in my inventory for them. If I could get all options back to default, that would be great. Plus then I could sell the mods.

I have manufacturing extended so can scrap the items and spit out the mods but I want to keep the items. I have hundreds of items to do so individually doing them would take hours or days. I’d rather stuff them into a machine to remove mods while I do other things.

Thank you in advance.

Just srap or sell them. There really is no reason to stick with generic armor parts you are not using. As you already noticed youself you would have to change all mods by hand to match on each armor. If you absolutely have to collect all that junk store it in some container in your base.

I’d like to be able to equip my settlers in uniforms as well as separate what to scrap vs sell. I like to scrap the cheap stuff and sell the higher value items. I was thinking of having the output of a mod separator go to a sorter with one output to a scrapper and one output to a conveyor storage that I can empty and sell.

If it's cosmetics for your settlers: just go to the settlement of your choice, add whatever uniforms you want via console and equip the settlers. No inventory problems.

If your have armorsmith extended ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2228 - heavy weight and lots of compatibility issues) or crafting framework ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40650 - light weight but less features) installed you can just craft the items yourself on the mods workbenches in whatever settlement you are in. Collecting all that stuff was already boring the first time.

You could also install the better settlers mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4772 ) and you will get much more variety in settler outfits out of the box and can simply give different hats to different types of occupations, so you know which settler is supposed to do what exactly.

if you want to do that just store the armor pieces in a box on the settlement you want to use it. I normally just equip provisioners and guards. But recently ive been thinking about replacing provisioners with a robot design i made that looks amazing for that task.

Thank you all for the help. I’m also looking to sort items by the base item because why not? I’ve already collected hundreds of modded ones, I don’t feel like making them from scratch and scrapping the ones I have. Maybe I’ll have to, but that seems dumb.
