You could also use XDI https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27216 - will work fine with vanilla fallout but causes issues with some popular quest mods / companion mods.

That was exactly my issue.
Thank you, saved me another few hours of frustration.
I deleted my mods from nexus and I'll keep them on Moddingham.
