Plus since you learn her name you would consider that you could just send a courser after her later if you believe she actually is one remember their test is not always correct in identifying a synth.
Why can't you just tell those people that Amelia Stockton is the property of the institute and that you need her freed? i.e reveal yourself to Covenant that you work for the institute.
Because they did not go into that kind of depth with the quest.
That would also lead to having to fight them considering they blame the institute for that incident in diamond city.
There are a lot of ways they could have incorporated being with the institute into the game and several quests including being able to call them to retrieve a runaway synth when we find one such as that one random encounter as well as this quest.
They either did not think to do so or was more concerned about meeting the release date than adding some possible game enhancements that gave it more depth.
Heh, so basically my only option is to free her and pretend to tell the institute to pick her up later on? Guess that's better than getting her killed.
Far harbor has a quest that you can report DIMA to institute and have them all sent back to the institute
And they did implement some stuff though for example mayor of diamond city is synth and if you work for institute, you have to check up on him and make sure he's doing his job lol
with that quest that is pretty much all we can do if we pick the institute faction and want to actually RP being in the institute.
In Far Harbor they seem to have had more time to implement ideas that added a bit more RP aspect to the game such as how someone actually with the institute, RR , or BOS would react to finding a synth settlement in Far Harbor.
I guess what I should have said is there are a lot more ways they could have incorporated it into the game like the Human Error quest and random encounters.
I can think of at least three random encounters involving synths the one with the two Arts appears to be the only one they actually put in dialogue for if we were working with the institute.
what about as brotherhood of steel, what would be the best option for that quest?
Well in the human error quest the BOS would probably go with allowing the test since their goal is to wipe out the institute and its synths and they have a history of not caring what happens to others as we hear consistently from them "if you are not bortherhood your nothing" etc.
