New player sent into dlc area?

Hi all

Im new to the game and I have a quest to fetch something for the brotherhood of steel. And im stuck on some boat off the map. My research shows that its dlc content area.

So im confused why am I going to a dlc area so early in the game? And the boat with marker doesnt do anything just stuck here images below

Ok so another mission near by to find a missing girl leads that way.... Im concerned should I be doing dlc content this early? does it matter? Why does my first mission for brotherhood of steel missions lead to a dlc area? What would happen if i never had the dlc content?

get the Unoffical Patch, that shoud deal with this stoneage bug and many other bugs to come in your game.

the one with the girl is the offical quest to guide you to Far Habour. its not so much harder than the mainland, as long you dont try to face off Gulpers and Anglers. only anoyance you need to consider is the permanet low radiation nearly everywhere on the Island. so if you are not suited for that, better try to get some equipment, perks and aid that help you in that matter.

use your head the BOS does not care what level you are when sending you

out there .. if it seems tough just wait on it ..

im not sure, but i think u meant far harbor. head to the location named far harbor, take the boat. it will bring you back to comonwealth

you can also try to choose another quest, as it will mark the possible way out of where you are.
a quest you know that is in comonwealth

If you use mods, there is a mod for that: "Keep Radiants in the Commonwealth". You only have to do 2 of the Radiant quests for the BOS; one each for the Scribe and one for the thicc boi . But, seriously, you need to wait on that quest you have if you are a low-level- until you level up. Far Harbor is hard, and you need to get one of those full rad-suits.

This. You need a mod to fix this problem. it is a known "bug". If you use no mods then you could just not install Far Harbor and Nuka World until you are ready.

Its already installed it still happened

Had another quest show up there from rhys found a fix use console commands to end those quests then apply the mod paladin mentioned.

For anyone in the future who finds this thread the fix will be below

player.setstage bosr01 40

player.setstage 000c30dc 40

you need the Nexus mod ''no borders'' . I got locked out of all the DLC's early last year and never figured out why it happened . this mod worked for me .

your misunderstanding my post I dont wanna go in the dlc content yet. When I do ill remove my mod "Keep Radiants in the Commonwealth".
