That said if you don't raid your settlements Preston will not hate you whatever else you do.
how do i get this quest?and i already have some raider deco like their flags and cages but i didnt really like their style so not a problem
wait, if i DONT raid my own settlements (wich are all minutemen i dont even know if you can have settlements as any other faction) Preston will get pissed at me?for not betraying my people?
edit maybe worth a read: https://www.carls-fallout-4-guide.com/nuka-world/quests/open-season.php
Hmm tempting .....
The only thing is if you have become the general of the MInutemen, Preston will hate you and attack you on site if you take over settlements in the Commonwealth in "Home Sweet Home."
That quest is only unlocked after you claim all 5 parks for the raiders.
But the minutemen will still work with you even after you've done all the raider quest. (since the MM is pretty much the Yes Man route in Fallout 4.) you'll have to betray the Raiders to finish the main quest if you PO all the other factions. But besides missing out on Preston's perk. no loss there.
You can even still use Artillery and everything. But commonwealth Raider Outposts will refuse to use any Artillery pieces you have there.... and while you are working with them. Preston will not give you any more quest. effectively halting the minutemen questline.
usually I just leave Preston in Concord. do the Nuka-world quest. get Gage's companion perk. (which is awesome.)
Then give most of the parks to the Operators and the Pack... for a very important reason... now I'll try not to spoil the story but here is the most important rewards for the nuka-world add-on. and you can miss some of them.
so by giving a majority of territory, (parks and raider outposts.) to 2 factions. those factions will give you legendary weapons... (but you can find them anywhere.) and their quest perks.
the perks are as follows.
The DIsciples perk: Disciple's Chosen -- Restore 25% action points on any melee kill.
The Operators Perk: Ace Operator -- increase stealth by 10% (half a rank of sneak.) and do a flat 25% more damage will all Silenced weapons. (no sneaking required.)
The Pack: Pack Alpha -- increase melee and unarmed damage by 25% and reduce all damage by 25%
Now if terms of best perks.
The Pack Alpha is great. it like getting Lone Wander Rank 2. but it's on all the time. no need to use melee or unarmed weapons with this perk... honestly if you do the quest this is must have.
Ace Operator if you use guns and even sneak a little bit than this is the perk for you... it is a great boon to all stealth. plus with all ranks of sneak, the sneak bobblehead, all Covert Operation magazines, you'll have 100% hidden in Shadows. effectively making you invisible while in shadows or low light.
Disciples Chosen.. it good if you are doing a Melee only character. or have Melee as a major part of your playstyle... and I would recommend if you want this one to replace Ace Operator. Pack Alpha is just too good.
Also as you build more territories, (up to 5 parks for rank 1, 3 outposts for rank 2, and 8 outposts for rank 3.) of the Wasteland Warlord which will give you tons more raider theme items to build in your settlement.
But something to note is that if you complete Open Season, you lose control of all territories. And you lost the ability to build any raider items gained from Wasteland Warlord perk in any settlement. (items already built will stay there.. and some are very helpful.
Also Nuka-Radio with Red-eye will also stop. if you like that station.
ultimately though it's up to you. if you think it is worth it....
Oh and a little tip for the Nuka-Cola recipes in the DLC there is 20 of them. And the regular and Ice-Cold variants stack with each other... one of the drinks gives you +60 carry weight for I think one real world hour... so it is really useful. encesntially gives you the power of 6 Grilled Radstag in two drinks.
Anyways have fun. ^_^
Nuka-Cide. Best drink in the game I think. +1200 hp, +300 action points, +20 max action points, +50 max hp, +35 rad resistance, +35 carry weight. Drink one of these and go smack a deathclaw around bare handed.
hahaha right... I think the best healing item is Nuka-Cola Quantum but only with Chemist Rank 4... If I remember right it does 1840 hit points regen...
Like we'd ever have that much HP. :P
and if after i get all i want from them wich is the perks can i do the open season quest or do i lose the perks?and i dont care about companion perks cause i play solo so no one stays in front of the door locking me inside
also after i give the sub-parks (i plan to give 3-2 to operators and pack) can i retake them for the minutemen?
