Make sure not to do any of these quests for The Railroad or The Brotherhood of Steel:
Mass Fusion
Red Rockets Glare
End of The Line
The Brotherhood of Steel will lock you out of furthering their quest, as will The Railroad unless that was patched out.
There's also mods on Nexusmods for restored cut endings (like you becoming the leader of The Brothehood of Steel, or Danse becoming the leader and a peace option being available for The Railroad)
Elder of The Brotherhood after maxson dies, or you could make Danse Elder of The Brotherhood after he challenges Maxson to combat by right (since he was technically on the level of a sentinel)
You could've held a meeting as General of The Minutemen after building up basically your own nation, or challenged The Brotherhood's technological power to have true peace between The Railroad, and yourself.
Lots of things they could've done, did you know that The Combat Zone (now restored by a mod) was used to place bets on fights, participate yourself, and there's quite a bit of cut dialogue for unique raiders and even cait?

This mod is 100% Essential on any playthrough, doesn't matter If you're playing vanilla or not.
It allows Danse to challenge maxson according to the Litany, theres an actual duel that takes place in another location, and either you or Danse can become Elder. Nothing is out of place because apparently the content was already there. It also allows for peace with Railroad, as when Kells says he wants them wiped out, this adds a speech check to tell him they're ok, he tends to agree and the mission ends there.
Easy City Downs is another missed opportuniy that turned out to be just a bland shoot-em-up section, as if there weren't enough of those.
I can at least vouch for the BoS mod, played the whole run with it installed, and when time came, everything went great. Was actually surprised, figured i would have to tinker, perhaps sort out a couple of bugs, but no. Was like it was originally part of the game, the voice acting was fine, the AI was fine, and the chosen ending works perfectly.
Still waiting for the robot race betting to be restored.
The Minutemen + Brotherhood + Railroad ending, however if it were to happen there wouldn't be any peace with the Minutemen.
